I could not even install MS Project. I keep getting some cryptic error message box informing me that MS Project 2007 is not compatible with Office 2007. Never mind that I don’t even have Office 2007 installed. Actually, I SHOULD know better. Even if they are FREE, Microsoft garbage/bloatware is seldom worth the trouble–move on.

This was my first software purchase on Amazon. Because the product was $100 less than I’d seen on the Microsoft website and in retail stores, I was nervous that the product was not new or would not come with a “key” or some other issue. I was delighted to receive a completely new software package just as if I bought it retail.

I remember struggling with MS Project in the 1990s… it was hopelessly obtuse, labor intensive, hard to understand, etc.
This 2007 version is actually usable and takes most of the pain out of creating a project schedule with multiple complexities. Good job, Microsoft.
The program still needs more integration with other c.2007 MS products, and it need to improve on its Excel-like user interface — which really doesn’t work very well for project management.
But all that said, this product is capable of productive use within 24 hours of installation without any prior experience.
I do recommend that new users buy a good instructional book to go with it, tho, just for reference. The book I got was “Microsoft Project 2007: The missing Manual” by Bonnie Biafore; Pogue Press/O’Reilly. Helpful right off the bat.
Wish I’d had this version in 1997.

If you will notice the date of this review (July 21, 10) and the date that I placed my order (June 15, 10) you will see that it has been almost a month and I still do not have the product I ordered, the substitution that the vendor suggested or a credit to my account.
I can’t comment on the product since I have never gotten it. I can say that I will never buy from Express 24/7 again. I am still trying to get a credit for the almost $300.00 that I paid for this.
