Nod32 and the amount of RAM it takes up?
So I am researching some AV programs to install on my laptop. I have 2 gigs RAM and running on Vista Premium. I have already tried Kaspersky and found that it uses too much of my RAM to do anything while it scans. I am considering buying NOD32 but I want to know the amount of space it takes. I have heard it is considerably small but I want to know specifically.
Thanks in advance =)

Bitdefender was rated higher than NOD32 and it uses very little RAM even while runing scans. Never had a problem doing other things during a scan.

Kaspersky runs many application guards that’s why it take also a huge sort of RAM usage. So far CABAL, I see that is really RAM Eater about one GB++.
Anyway, NOD32 takes about 20-32 MB RAM. Minimum for such and other AV runs smoothly in a computer should be at least 512 MB.

Just read the specks and they say it won’t exceed 44mgb. Hmm well dunno what to say because it usually is 60 and didn’t check when it’s actually scanning. The good news is that it’s has a gamer feature which makes the updates and scans quiet so it doesn’t disturb you while making a kill

Nod32 v3.0 antivirus and smart security are well known for consuming lowest system RAM and processor resource. computer user dont even feel that there is an antivirus present in system. it is so lite. im using nod32 smart edition business edition and it is talking only 42mb RAM. you will be surprised that the booting up time will not be delayed by nod32 just like other antiviruses. avg, mcafee, norton, avast, avira, pccillin, kaspersky make computer slow. even it takes time to open a folder with many softwares but not nod32. consider nod32 smart security home edition or business
