How do I get rid of newheur_pe virus with NOD32?
Its the new version.. and it found newheur_pe virus but said Error! Could not remove! I read some were to download a-squared anti malware so i have but its scanning now. Is that the way to remove it or how should i? Running windows vista… eeek help ! thx

You should not remove it just yet …allow NOD32 to deal
with it after examination as it may be a needed file or
whatever which could have come from an update from
Microsoft or some other needed program.
NewHeur_PE virus
File marked as “NewHeur_PE virus” was detected using broad heuristics because it contains parts of code typical of worm infiltrations spread over the internet. Using this method NOD32 was able to identify worms Win32/Zafi.B, Win32/Mydoom.R, Win32/Bagle.X and many others.

That does not mean you have a virus. That was Nods heuristic analysis.
What that means is the file contains parts of code typical of worm infiltrations. This is what Nod does better than any other anti-virus software. Finding new stuff that there are no definitions for

It could also be a fasle alarm Since it could be a new malware Nod may not be able to remove for that reason. You need to do this Go into setting in nod there is a option that allows you to send the file to nod so they can check it out.
